How ComplyFolio produces readiness findings
Direct answer: ComplyFolio extracts bounded signals from a public product page, applies versioned readiness rules, optionally runs an isolated axe/WCAG page scan, and turns unresolved evidence into tasks and draft assets. It does not certify legal compliance.

1. Public-page evidence extraction
The workspace follows a submitted public HTTP or HTTPS URL after safety checks. It reads page metadata, structured product data, visible text, product identifiers, manufacturer and EU economic operator signals, warning text, language, and image metadata. It records the final URL so redirects or non-product pages remain visible to the reviewer.
2. GPSR readiness rules
Versioned rules compare extracted evidence with common listing-workflow needs such as manufacturer identity, an EU responsible person or other economic operator, product traceability, warnings, instructions, language scope, and supporting documents. Findings are unresolved-evidence signals, not legal conclusions.
3. Accessibility signals
An isolated browser worker runs automated axe checks against the submitted page when available. Automated testing can identify many page-level WCAG issues, but it cannot establish full EAA or WCAG conformance. Keyboard journeys, assistive-technology behavior, checkout flows, content meaning, and other contextual requirements need manual testing.
4. Generated workflow assets
The product converts findings into supplier requests, label and platform-field drafts, warning-language review tasks, evidence status records, reminders, and an exportable Evidence Pack. Generated wording must be checked against verified product evidence before publication.
5. Score interpretation
The unresolved-evidence score helps prioritize review. A lower score does not prove that a product or service is compliant, safe, accessible, or permitted on a marketplace. The report shows its underlying findings so a reviewer can challenge, resolve, or document each item.
6. Sources and update policy
Rules and explanatory content are reviewed against primary sources. Product changes update the review date on this page and in machine-readable metadata.
